Little Anna in the Mekong - Part 2

Last weekend, we were in Shanghai, China, and were so happy to visit little Anna (see the August 21 post).  She was admitted to the Shanghai Children's Medical Centre for a very successful surgery for her spina bifida condition.  The exposed tissue sac was enclosed within her body, and her recovery was progressing so well, it was anticipated that she would be released in just a few days.  Our friends in the Mekong region had been contacted by the local orphanage they have relationship with about their receiving this newborn baby girl as an abandoned child, and they speedily arranged for her transport and surgery in Shanghai.

They contacted Baobei Foundation, a beautiful organization that is based in Shanghai.  Their purpose is to provide for the surgeries for orphaned babies, and then place them in loving "Care Homes" while a "Forever Family" is found that adopts the baby.  To date, they have had over 100 babies come under their care, from surgery to adoption (they also walk prospective families through the adoption process).  Information on their services to these precious babies, as well as donation abilites is on their website.  Also, if you'd like to donate to them via Alabaster Ministries, please click on the "Donate" button, and let us know of your designation.  As always, the total amount of your donations goes to our partners in blessing them.
