SOUTH AFRICA - "Emoyeni" Ministries

October 2013

Our friends at Emoyeni are busy, busy, busy!!  Alabaster Ministries is a monthly donor, helping fund the many projects that Emoyeni undertakes in northeastern South Africa.  You can see regular updates on their Facebook page for their current projects.  Emoyeni regularly hosts outreach groups.  Please contact us if your church or ministry would like to join hands with them on the ground!

• Every week, Emoyeni is feeding over 2000 children at 10 CarePoint Centres.  Emoyeni works with local churches, so the whole community is being involved in caring for the children.  The good work is gratefully received by the families, who then have an open door to visit the churches to hear and receive the Good News of new life in Jesus that is there for them.

• Working with their partner Children's Cup, it is now possible to sponsor a child so they can receive food and water, medical care, education, spiritual training, leadership and vocational training.  Please visit the Children's Cup child sponsorship page on their website to help love these beautiful children!

• For Christmas 2013, Emoyeni had two HUGE parties for 1000 children!  Alabaster Ministries acted as a liaison with Samaritan's Feet, to provide Skecher shoes for these kids as part of the celebration.

• A self-sustaining project is in the works:  Emoyeni has identified, and would like to purchase, a Macadamia Nut farm to provide income for the ministry, homes for children, full-time employment for local workers, vocational training for the children as they become youths and a conference/retreat center.  Please visit their website for more information on the specifics of this fantastic project, and to make your donation!
